Dear Valued Patients,
We had to re-evaluate our current circumstances and make some difficult decisions in order to ensure that we remain viable and continue to provide the best care for you. As such, we had to re-examine our relationship with DHA and its affiliates i.e., Sun Life, Aetna, Mutual of Omaha, Cypress Dental, Equitable, DenteMax, United Health Care, United Concordia, and Premier Dental Group. Simply put, DHA’s contractual agreement with our practice does not cover the quality of care that you have come to expect and that we are dedicated to give.
I have sought the help of multiple consultants and attorneys to try to re-negotiate with DHA and its affiliates, however, they are a large insurance company and were unwilling to compromise, even though it would benefit their subscribers.
It is with much consideration that I have decided to DISCONTINUE BEING AN “IN-NETWORK PROVIDER” with DHA and its affiliates starting January 1st, 2026. Because I am discontinuing my participation, you will want to review your benefits under their plans to determine whether it will provide reimbursement for services provided by an “OUT-OF-NETWORK PROVIDER”.
The good news is that:
- You can still remain a patient of our practice.
- We will continue to verify, explain and maximize your dental benefits to the best of our abilities.
- We will continue to send claims on your behalf.
We hope to continue our long standing relationship with you and want to help you navigate any choices you will need to make in the upcoming open enrollment period with your employer. Open enrollment usually starts NOW and ends in October.
Our small team and I are grateful for your understanding and are happy to assist you in any way we can. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with the latest technology to you! We want to continue to be your advocates for your oral health!
Warmly,
Dr. Eddie Kuo, DDS
